Integrating Tech with the 3D Model

Updated: Jun 11, 2020

Tech Progress,

The past few weeks were very busy and a lot of ground was covered.

We have found a balance between the sensor sensitivity and the responsiveness to the user.

A new LED circle was added to create a better, more captivating lighting.

As a whole, progress was made with the whole sleep program.

It seems we are getting pretty close to a functioning prototype that includes the Follower part and the Leader part which essentially means we almost have the main function of "Sleepy" up and running.

So how does the "Leader" work?

During the "Follower" phase, the user's respiratory rate is measured and used as a baseline for the "Leader". this baseline is used to calculate how long will it take for each breath in order to keep this rate going. The "Leader" picks up where the Follower left, continuing the last breath of the user and then works independently. after a period of time, the respiratory rate is lowered by 10% and keeps going. that will happen until the time is up or we have reached a respiratory rate of 6 breathes per minute.
